La Crosse is a town between beautiful bluffs and the scenic Mississippi River. The bluffs offer many hiking and mountain biking options and the river offers sandbars, boating, kayaking/canoeing, fishing and swimming options. The town encourages a healthy lifestyle by including bike lanes on the streets and roads. There are also many trails that link to neighboring communities. The restaurant options are very diverse; some for the health and environmentally conscious to those looking for the best steak around! There many artists in the community and several of the privately owned coffee shops proudly display and sell these artists' work. I have worked in La Crosse for many years and live very nearby. It is where I plan to call home for years to come.

I loved La Crosse! Was there for about 11 years (since I was 5), and I am proud to call it my home! I still call it home even though I moved to Minneapolis. I lived in the suburban neighborhood, then I moved to Holmen (about 20 min away), and then back to La Crosse by the bluffs! Whenever I think of home I think of the beautiful green bluffs that I hiked up. You will love the scenery and the safety of La Crosse! I love the many community events that occur. I loved going to Myrick Park and Riverside Park. Truly shows the beauty of La Crosse. Schools are geared toward your children's success in every aspect of their life. La Crosse is a great place to live if you want to see your child succeed in a safe, beautiful, and diverse environment!
La Crosse is an absolutely beautiful city on the Mississipi river, its wondrous bluffs and gorgeous scenery make it pretty nice to look at. La Crosse has a really strong sense of community and a superb health system having two hospitals open for attendance. A bountiful selection of neat community programs and downtown shopping, and speaking of downtown, the lively nightlife with many places to go to suit your entertainment desires. I will say there is a large drinking demographic, so depending on how you view drinking, other than that the crime rate is pretty low, plenty of job opportunities and more!
