La Crosse is a great city. It is small in area but has a lot of options for fun, food, and living. I enjoy being so close to the river as well as the bluffs, both provide great outdoor spaces to explore! The university is also great. The small local campus is great and it is easy to walk to classes without worrying about parking if you live close by.
La Crosse always surprises me. I moved here last summer, and I'm always finding new places to hike, bike, dine, and fun day trips. Lovely area, feels like it's getting "discovered," as it's gorgeous and still relatively affordable. Not crazy about the bar scene, but there are some creative restaurants popping up more and more. The locals seem interested in making it more bike friendly, hosts a farmer's market, considering more pedestrian downtown streets, and has great festivals in the spring, summer and fall. Can say enough about the wonderful hospitals here.
La Crosse, WI is a great place to live, work, or go to school. Since attending college in 2018, I have had nothing but positive experiences with those in the community. I have had to pleasure of attending college at UWL and have made many lasting relationships. I am also employed at a local hospital which offers great benefits and pay. I am seeking a doctorate degree at UWL starting in the Summer of 2023 and I couldn't be happier.
