Not too much happens in La Cañada Flintridge and it is a very peaceful town. What makes it special is the safety and friendliness of the community, the school in the area, and the convenient location. Little to no crimes occur in la Cañada, and the ones that happen are small and rare burglaries. The community funded school in the area is La Cañada high, a public school in the top 150 public schools in America. The town also contains Saint Francis and Flintridge Prep, two great private schools. La Cañada is extremely close to Pasadena and Glendale, meaning fun activities and good quality places are only a few minutes away! Overall, La Cañana Flintridge is not only my city, but my home.

This town has the feeling of being a rural escape on the outskirts of Los Angeles. In an hour you can get to the beach or to the mountains to ski, and you will never be bored! The whole town is very clean and kept up very well, and the school district is one of the top in the nation! You will run into people you know even just by going to the grocery store, which can be a good or a bad thing depending on your mood...but this town has a wonderful personality!
It's a tiny little small town just a few minutes away from Pasadena. It's perfect if you like nights out on the town but quiet nights. Everything local closes around 9, if that. The residents are usually snobby and entitled, but that's because they can afford a house in La Canada. It's traditional, with local events that happen annually and it gives you a sense of time (see: seasons not really existing) and belonging as you participate in the events. It feels like it could be a conservative town in the middle of nowhere, but being surrounded by so much city there's certainly enough to do if you don't mind driving a few minutes and it's also fairly liberal considering the general population is upper-middle/upper class.
