Kutztown is a small town that can easily be passed through from Reading to Allentown. The town is in full swing when the local university, Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, is in session in which the town is constantly filled with college students. It is great in that it gives a community feel with mom and pop shops but also taints the town with the annual college parties that the town is aware of.

Kutztown is a small town with a lot to offer. There are several festivals and other events that occur in town to keep all ages entertained. The university provides unique experiences that other small towns do not have access to. There are also several unique places to eat on main street in Kutztown making main street a great place to wander at night. While the university students had caused some issues in town, in recent years, the negative impact of students has been reduced.
I actually live right outside of downtown Kutztown, in Greenwich township, PA! My family and I moved here about 2 years ago and were welcomed with open arms by our neighbors. Our town feels like a southern town, you know, where everyone says hi to each other, waves as they drive by and we also look out for one another.
There are always activities going on around the town or in nearby towns. This is awesome for the community feel. There are also plenty of ways to get involved with in the community.
Oh, I almost forgot about the horse and buggies that you see in and around the town.I love getting stuck behind them. It always reminds to take a deep breath and slow down because there is always tomorrow! All in all, I love living in our community with the small town feel!
