As a prior So Cal resident, living in Kula these past near decade is healthier way of life & there are ways to live on a budget! I recommend learning about “Locavore Movement” & find your sanctuary in this paradise.

Beautiful place. If you have a good job then its doable but really requires two incomes to be comfortable. Housing market is very expensive. Not much for young people to do. No bike trails or indoor gyms available.
Very nice, quaint little town, mostly composed of elderly people, in my neighborhood at least. It is pretty far from the central locations and is thus very quiet, but a drive away from all the action.
