I personally love Kokomo. I like that it is a smaller town and it doesn’t take long to get from one side of town to the other. I do wish that there weren’t as many shooting or people hyped up on drugs, but it seems like everywhere is like that now. Kokomo has 2 colleges (technically 3) and many restaurants. I also wish there were more things to do with small kids! I also noticed we don’t have a ton of restaurants to sit down as a family. Kokomo is growing and I’m sure things will be coming to town soon.
I was born and raised here in Kokomo, IN. What I love about Kokomo is how 'small town' we are. You are able to get to know everyone fairly easily. We host a first Friday every month, where businesses and companies to get together downtown. This helps with everyone interacting and getting to know each other, this allows so many small businesses in our community to thrive. The one thing I would like to see change in Kokomo is a better care for select neighborhoods, and picking up trash in the community.
Kokomo is overall a nice city. It is a good, small place to raise children; the crime rate is not very high at all. The schools can be a little crazy sometimes, but overall a nice small town!
