I love Knightdale! This community is hands down the best! It has great shopping and plenty of community events. The sense of community is very strong in this town. We have a very active town government and a wonderful interactive police department. We also have a very active community Facebook page to help keep everyone up on town business as well as sharing ideas for the town, welcoming new neighbors and meeting people. Knightdale has that small town feel while being very close to Raleigh. It's convenient to 540, 440, and 495/264. 8 wouldn't think of living anywhere else!

I would love to see the community diversify a little more. I loved being their in high school, but as I go back to visit my family frequently, I do notice the same people and culture from years ago. Maybe more programs in the city like the Boys and Girls Club or programs that would also get the community more involved with each other. The community and real estate has grown tremendously over the years, I would just love to see that growth more with the population. Also , the night life needs much improvement. There are no local bars, or hang out spots for college students returning home. The nearest avenues are in Raleigh or a drive away. Other than that, the area is very safe and a wonderful place to grow up.
Knightdale is a wonderful city. The recent addition of Knightdale Station Park has provided a beautiful area for children, families and pets to enjoy a playground, walking trail, dog park, community events and picnic areas. The city is conveniently located within fifteen to twenty minutes of most major surrounding cities, but with tons of the most popular retailers and stores in Knightdale's own shopping centers having to leave town can often be avoided. The crime rate is extremely low in this area and newly constructed elegant neighborhoods are being added more and more. The city of Knightdale is a great, peaceful and quiet place to love. If there were any things I would say the city could or should change, it would be the lack of businesses that operate before 10am and after 10pm. If you are in need of something before or after those hours you might have to drive further out to purchase any unforeseen essential items.
