Knightdale Reviews
Rating 4.09 out of 5 85 reviews
Knightdale offers the most expected things like major shopping and specialty stores like HD and Lowes with a couple strip malls with chain stores, and food ( mostly fast food). It's close to everything, Raleigh and other surrounding areas. One thing and reason I gave 3 stars is when we moved, I expected friendliness. People are polite, seem welcoming, but it seems habitual and and not authentic. But rather have that than plain rudeness, youll find that everywhere here in Raleigh and surrounding towns. Most keep to themselves, you can invite 20 to a BBQ to get to know neighbors, and be lucky if 1 comes. Plenty of trails and parks, another reason 3 stars is the zoning planners are allowing a massive build on thousands of forested acres ( up to 1700 homes). It will easily increase population and traffic and remove the country/suburban feel that makes it a nice place. Money over quality of life. It's a good place, but if your a extrovert, you'll need to travel to find your spots.
I love how knightdale is a growing community that is packed with large families. This makes for family friendly neighborhoods where everyone goes all out for holiday’s. As well as when something happens and or a challenge lands on all of our door steps, we come together as a community in both the good and tragic. One thing I would like to see change is the amount of accessible parks and or play area. Due to the focus of the area mainly being family oriented there should be more of an area for children to play rather than having them play in the streets. On that note I would also like to see more speed bumps and speed limits in the neighborhood’s knowing that children play in their front yards and the road. Other than that Knightdale is a great place to live it’s growing capacity is filled with love so weather you have a family or not, your young or old it’s a good place to be.
Knightdale has really 'boomed' over the past decade. There are more housing developments, places to eat, and Knightdale Station, our park, is a great place for families to go. Sometimes there traffic issues, which is to be expected when your population is increasing, but it's not Capital Blvd traffic, I'll tell you that! Knightdale is a great city, I'm glad to live here.
