Killen is a small town in Lauderdale County, Alabama - which is in the very northwest corner of the state. Being built around a major US highway, it doesn’t have that same small town Alabama feel like Town Creek does, but it comes awfully close. Most of Killen is residential, so the real estate market is good, but the jobs are found in the bigger cities around it. It is also home to Brooks High School, which is a very good AAAA school in terms of safety, academics, athletics, and fine arts.

Killen is a small town where everybody knows everybody, and if you've lived here for as long as I have, you're probably related to most of the population. There isn't much to do, so we make our own fun. Killen Park is a blessing, as well as the new Putt Putt golf course they just put in by the haunted house. That's about all there is though, besides restaurants.
Killen is a beautiful small town, on the outskirts of Florence, AL. A very short drive to the city of Muscle Shoals, AL. Where Fame music studios is located.
Great, friendly neighbors, on the Tennessee River.
