These sands are known for their cleanliness. The people are very friendly and known for their hospitality. Kill Devil Hills is famous for the Wright Bothers Memorial which celebrates Orville & Wilbur Wright's First flight on Kill Devil Hill. However there is a dark side to The Outer Banks which includes Kill Devil Hills. Make sure you use cruise control when driving. There are many speed traps and hiding police, happy to take your money for either their town, county or state. The fines are high and the police are everywhere. Your probability of getting pulled over for just about anything is high. So beware, there is no money in solving crimes, but lots of money for the taking in giving tickets to unsuspecting tourists and residents.

Kill Devil hills is beautiful, and has wonderful schools. It is a wealthy community so they pay for many services to help keep the town clean, as well as, activity centers for youth. The town is literally right on the beach, and the only downfall is the hurricanes that come almost yearly.
Kill Devil Hills is a beautiful coastal town on the outer banks of North Csrolina. The people here are very friendly as we cater to tourist while they vscation. I love living here. There is a lot of history hrre, such as the Wright Brothers first flight to blackbeard the pirate.
