Kernersville is an amazing small town that is growing tremendously. Kernersville is right outside of Winston-Salem and is home to the beautiful Botanical Garden. There is so much to do in this modernizing southern city. South main street is where the main attractions are such as Gabe's Clothing Store, Cook-Out (they have the best milkshakes for only 99 cents,) and much more. Kernersville Elementary, Kernersville Middle, Southeast Middle, and East Forsyth High School are amazing schools in Kernersville. I would recommend this city for you and your family!

I have lived in Kernersville for nearly 23 years. I have seen it go from having only one stop light to the growing yet quaint town that it is today. It has never lost its charm even though the population is growing. Main street has been blooming as of late and small businesses are succeeding. Every year, there is the Kerner's Folly, a family friendly outdoor event with food, music, rides, and more. There are local parks that are kept clean and beautiful, people spend time on the playground, grilling, on the tennis courts, or the skateboard park. When something tragic happens the community really does come together to help those in need. I've seen this happen on many occasions. The school systems are advanced and teachers are so kind. There is not much nightlife but the two neighboring towns, only a ten to twenty minute drive have a lot going on. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else!
I enjoy the small, rural town atmosphere. The community is quaint with diversity. Downtown has various shops that you can explore. It is perfectly located between two major cities in NC. I enjoy living in a small town but able to commute to a bigger city. The food options are great. Don Juan's is a popular Mexican restaurant. They have great food and drinks. Smitty’s is affordable, delicious, and inexpensive seafood restaurant. Living in the western part of the state, we are able to enjoy seafood that tastes like you are in the coast. Planet Fitness is a great facility that is modern and new. The hours are flexible and anyone is able to go to the gym at any time. This town is great for families or new graduates. It is growing with lots to explore.
