I am 18 years old and I have lived in Kermit my whole life. Kermit is a very good family town everyone knows everyone and it is wonderful. I will say there are not very many job opportunities here and not very many companies in the first place. Kermit ISD is a very great school, sports are really amazing. Overall Kermit is really a great place to live even though it is super small.

Kermit is a small town where most people know you, or know of you. Which can be a good thing and a bad thing. Overall experience of growing up in Kermit, was decent. Working the oilfield life is about all you look for of you're looking to stay.
Not a lot of properties for rent; only 3 apartment complexes two of which are less than stellar. Housing prices went up last year due to the oil boom, and haven't come down since the bust.
