Kentwood is an amazing environment full of amazing people. There are always tons of windows of open opportunity for anyone and everyone. I believe that the Kentwood public school system is one of the best in the state of Michigan as it is home to East Kentwood High School, the second most diverse high school in the COUNTRY! Everyone here seems to get along very well and there is always room for one more.

Everything is really close, it’s sorta has a small town vibe. It seems that every time I would go grocery shopping with my parents they would run into someone they knew. My town has one high school so, you get to know everyone, you see them everywhere. Everyone shops at the mall in town, and goes to the same movies theater. Where I work I see someone i know almost everyday. I like living in kentwood, but mainly because my family is there. I see myself going away from kentwood for college, everything is the same everyday and I prefer a little more adventure in my life. Nonetheless I will always be connected to kentwood
Kentwood is a great place for families. I grew up there with my parents and they still live there with my younger siblings. There are always plenty of activities going on whether downtown or even at the local libraries. It is also a very diverse community. In high school I met kids from countries all over the world. We had a very large foreign population and it exposed me to other cultures in a way I would have never experienced as someone who is originally from Detroit, Michigan.
