Moving to Kent city was one of the smartest moves I have made. I thought I would be a city girl for life! I love that my kids will grow up in a safe small community. I personally have not had to experience the school yet. I have heard nothing but good things about Kent city public schools. Kent city is a small town where everyone knows one another and looks out for each other. It takes a village sometimes to raise children and that rings true in Kent city! Something I would like to see different is more community events or activities. We used to have a fall festival and I do not know what happened, but last year there was nothing. I would say that is definately the downside to living in a small town. However, kent city is decently distanced from the city of grand Rapids. It takes about 30 minutes give or take given time of commute and traffic. I would recommend living in Kent city to anybody that enjoys peace and small town life.
Kent city is a small tight knit town. Our sign says “our town is your town” and we mean it! Friendliest people you’ll ever meet
Kent City is a great place to live. I grew up there and it was one of the best experiences I could have asked for. The people there are great, caring, and overall loving.
