As a student that attends Kennesaw State University, I can say that the area of Kennesaw is a perfect fit for just about anybody. The community has a substantial amount of trees and nature on every turn, making the air itself feel ever so refreshing. There is a variety of historical parks and hiking grounds fit for family activities. If you're more of in indoors person there is an amazing mall, a fun arcade, and even an indoor trampoline house where you can get some exercise going! The citizens in the area are very friendly, so there will always be one more person you can consider family. If you'd like to see a melting pot of diversity in the Kennesaw community, I definitely recommend visiting the Kennesaw State campus. There is a large variety of ethnic and religious backgrounds at KSU, the school has even been nationally recognized for such.

Kennesaw is an excellent location for several reasons. It is just 30 minutes away from Atlanta, a major city with all kinds of events, stores, restaurants, and the busiest airport in the world. It's also very low crime, making it a safe alternative to living in the downtown area. Kennesaw is also home to a state University (Kennesaw State University) which is rapidly becoming a go-to choice for middle class students, with well-respected Nursing and Business programs. The natural scenery is also a plus. Located just north enough to be a short road trip to the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains where you can escape the hustle and bustle of suburban/metro Atlanta life and indulge in the rolling hills, wildlife, and small town communities. Growing up in Kennesaw has been a blessing, as everything you could need is within 1 hour driving distance. The only downfall: the cost of living has been increasing over the years, and traffic is a nightmare!
Great place to live. I would not reccomend living here if you work in Atlanta. The commute would not be fun. The schools are mediocre so it is almost a given that your child needs to attend private school for a quality education. The area is nice all in all. The people are hospitable, the home prices are reasonable, and the traffic is fine. There are lots of homes to choose from. Although traffic to Atlanta is not good, it is not, in the grand scheme of things horribly far away. The area has a lot of nature with Kennesaw Mountain and the Battlefeild being close by. Living in this area also allows you to be close to Florida and fun cities like Chatenooga!
