Kennesaw is an excellent location for several reasons. It is just 30 minutes away from Atlanta, a major city with all kinds of events, stores, restaurants, and the busiest airport in the world. It's also very low crime, making it a safe alternative to living in the downtown area. Kennesaw is also home to a state University (Kennesaw State University) which is rapidly becoming a go-to choice for middle class students, with well-respected Nursing and Business programs. The natural scenery is also a plus. Located just north enough to be a short road trip to the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains where you can escape the hustle and bustle of suburban/metro Atlanta life and indulge in the rolling hills, wildlife, and small town communities. Growing up in Kennesaw has been a blessing, as everything you could need is within 1 hour driving distance. The only downfall: the cost of living has been increasing over the years, and traffic is a nightmare!
Review Kennesaw
Kennesaw is a cute, small town in Georgia. There is a lot of history there, especially in the down town area. There are plenty of things to see and do, from the train that puffs along the train tracks every morning, to the quirky old bookshops on the square. There are nice parks, restaurants, and beautiful places like Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield. The people are friendly and will give you a nice helping of southern hospitality! I hope people continue to take care of our city, keep our parks kept and clean, and treat wildlife fairly.
Great schools for every grade level that are like family to each other! Hayes Elementary, Pine Mountain Middle, Kennesaw Mountain High, and Kennesaw State. Many fun things to do, jump places, arcades, skating and the mall strip with great places to eat. Many job opportunities for local teens and first time appliers. Very safe and kid friendly environment.
