I love how quite & peaceful it is (somewhat like living in the country but with the convenience of stores ect not 30 + miles away) I also have been extremely blessed/greatful with the beautiful gated entry waterfront condo in Kenmore. I've truly seen the most beautiful sunrise & sunsets along with the breath taking views I wake up to every morning!

I have lived in Kenmore all of my life and would have to say I rate it 3/5 stars. I feel that the public schools here are great, safe and welcoming to everyone. I feel that it is a safe place to live and provides many outdoor actives and has easy access to parks, the Burke Gilman trail and Lake Washington is basically right at our doorstep. I would have to say that the neighborhood is up and coming and the cost of living in my opinion is a little high and doesn't have many job opportunities. Since it is an up and coming neighborhood the housing market is becoming expensive. But I feel that Kenmore is family friendly and very minimal crime happens here. There are many bus many stops and makes it a tolerable commute to Seattle
Kenmore is pretty sleepy and suburban. UW Bothell/Cascadia is getting bigger, and we've now got a bit more variety in eateries and shops; but still nothing you'd likely drive to from anywhere else. That said, you can find decent Thai, sushi, Chinese, Mexican, yoga, bowling, bike stores, thrift stores- you name it. Also, there's tons of sea planes, if that's your thing. You might still be able to find a decent house for a reasonable price, but those are getting rarer and rarer 'round these parts.
