As a child, Kaufman was a great, small, private town that was away from all the tourism of Dallas and not described as a "rich city." It is still a great place to live, but the population keeps increasing and so does the cost of living but the minimum wage does not increase and makes it hard to live a life. I want to see the affordability of life on your own to increase by either increasing minimum wages or decreasing the cost of housing and priorities.
Kaufman was a comfortable, affordable town until Walmart came in and sent the housing market and property taxes skyrocketing.
Everything. Scenery, Recreation, Dining, Southern Hypiatailty, Shopping Malls, Resturants, Public Library. What I dislike was the fact that everything closed at or
a liitle after 9:30p.m. law enforcement is really hard on ppl out here in this small town called kaufman.
