Kahului is nestled in between the central Maui valley. You can find all of your major services here: the mall, airport, college, hospital, etc. There is a lot of old history there as well and you can find remnants of the sugar cane plantation. I recommend the sugar cane museum.

Maui is a great place to live in. You meet different type of people and they are very kind. Enjoy the beach view which is very amazing! cost of living are very high. If you enjoy outdoors such as hiking and biking and running and walking and going to the pool than this is the prefect place to come and visit. Also, school at Kahului are very close by which mean kids can walk then dropping them off.
Lived in student housing located in Kahului for a year. Convenient location, but lacked support services for new incoming students. Traffic lights in Kahului are a joke! They are not in sync to keep the traffic flow even and smooth for commuters daily routine.
