I actually live in Laie, just south of Kahuku, but its a 10 minute bus ride so we visit Kahuku a lot. It's a nice, small town that is very proud of its high school rugby team, the Red Raiders. Everyone flies the school flag and wears the school colors. There is a strong sense of community, almost like it's one big family. There is a small hospital there, but it isn't very good so most people make the drive to Kaneohe if they can. There are lots of food options! It's part of the North Shore, and the famous garlic shrimp was born right in this town. It's as good as everyone says!

Welcome to the country side of O'ahu where the salt breezes caress the trees all day. The community is very friendly and quiet. The local elementary, intermediate and high school are within walking distances. Majority of the population are members of the LDS Mormon faith. Kahuku is known for their local high school sport teams, sweet corn and shrimp! Everyone is very welcoming and it has a feeling of home all around. Red Raiders 4 Life! #RR4L
Such a beautiful, quaint town with lots of pride for where you came from. Love football nights at the high school and meeting all tourists staying at Turtle Bay!
