- Suburb of Honolulu, HI

A little slower pace than Honolulu and still only 30 minutes to town. The H3 highway barely ever has traffic, plus there are 3 highways out of Kaneohe. Five minutes away from the beach and hiking. Awesome place to live for those that like the outdoors. If the sound of chickens and roosters bother you, this probably isn't the spot for you.
The roads are very dangerous, but the view makes up for it. I lived right across the street from the beach. It is a very rural setting.
It's a very residential locale. While the ocean is close and rather calm for kayaking or paddleboarding in the mornings, it is more rural and not close to downtown Honolulu.
It’s a local community. There’s plenty places to eat, shop, and other businesses so you don’t have to travel far. Most people are kind to each other and everyone takes care.
Kahalu'u is a nice country town away from the city, nestled at the base of the majestic Ko'olau Moutain range on the windward side of Oahu.
This area can be pricey and not the easiest when it comes to cost of living, but the people, town, and environment hold countless memories and blessings. We don't have much development house-wise that is currently taking place, but the shopping centers are constantly being renovated in order to satisfy their customers. Kaneohe still has its sense of country that will always be irreplaceable.
