I loved the small town feeling in the high school. The amount of pride and dedication that these students have for their town in unmatched by anywhere else I have been. The Music programs especially. With a almost 200 people band and a 150 person choir program, that makes about half of the student body in the high school is involved in a music program of some sort. not to mention, the sports teams often go to playoffs and are fully supported by the entire town.
I've lived in Johnstown for 4 years now and really love the community. It's a small town that is fairly close to all of the modern conveniences. I see this area growing a lot in the next 5-10 years despite the chagrin of some who want to see everything remain the same. I do wish we had more options for sit down dining but understand it's hard to find staff.
I love Johnstown, I have lived here for 4 years now and wouldn't change a thing. They make me feel welcome and happy. Things are just a slower pace and that is great for raising a family.
