Johnson Creek Reviews
Johnson Creek is a small town (technically a village), but is always growing and has things you wouldn't expect a small town to have such as an outlet mall, a movie theater, lots of fast food/dining options, and an eye doctor, chiropractor, dentist, and a vet for your pet! It's located right in the middle of Madison and Milwaukee off the belt of I-94. It's safe, peaceful, and the community is very close and friendly.
I have lived in Johnson Creek WI since I was 3 years old. I attended elementary, middle and high school there and really enjoyed the small town environment. I am still living there as an adult and have a son attending the high school. The village just passed a referendum to build a new school. The school includes classrooms and accommodations for students grade 5-12. The village has been trying to pass a referendum for a new school since 1996. We are now trying to raise funds for a sports complex. Another feature of the village is that it is centrally located right off the interstate I-94 between Madison and Milwaukee. This makes for easy and fast travel to the two major cities. I would recommend the village for easy small town living.
I like most of the people in Johnson Creek. Everyone is really nice and friendly, and everyone gets very involved in whatever is going on in the community. I also like the location of Johnson Creek. We are right in between Madison and Milwaukee - the two major cities in Wisconsin. We also have quite a few fun things to do, like lots of restaurant choices, a movie theater, and the outlet mall. We also have the first and only dome school in the state of Wisconsin. I don't like how small Johnson Creek is, though. I'm a city person, and it just doesn't completely fulfill me. I also don't like how the majority of our buildings here are either churches or bars, and I'd prefer to live in a more liberal area - Johnson Creek seems to be filled with mostly conservatives.
