I love that Jerome is a small town, everyone knows everyone! If you need help your neighbors are there to help which has been great with my husband in the Idaho State Police Academy. The one thing I would change about Jerome is that there needs to be more to do, so family can enjoy the outdoors, shopping or a bite to eat at a local restaurant.
Review Jerome
This is mostly a farming community, and if you're not a farmer or a farming family, you don't have many choices for income, other than making a 30 minute drive to the next town over and looking for jobs. The biggest thing we have here is a Wal-Mart, and even then it's pretty small. We have hundreds of foreign immigrants moving in every month, but few jobs to facilitate them other than working at the cheese factory, which we already need those jobs in the first place. Unless there was a sudden influx of business in this area, it's going nowhere fast.
I like that there is a bike trail throughout half the town. It is very nice during the summer everyone is very outdoorsy and once you get used to the quiet it really becomes home. During the winter the roads can get pretty bad the government takes bad care of there roads they get very slick and the pot holes definitely do not help either. The town is slowly progressing though overall its a cute town with a nice vibe.
