Jericho is a great place to live, but it's hard to call it a "town" since there really isn't much of an exact spot to call a town. It's more like an area that has lots of nice homes spread out. There is a small area called Jericho Center that has a little neighborhood store/gas station/food deli, a library, a church, and a community center. The other area that has town features is on a busy road and is not very close to the Jericho Center area. Over there is town hall, a handful of businesses, a school, and churches. When I first moved to Jericho in 2014 I was shocked that the area on the busy road was part of the same town that was in Jericho Center. Residents in Jericho depend on the greater Burlington area for shopping and work, which is easily a 20-30 minute drive. The schools are fantastic! I grew tired of the commute and moved closer to Burlington.
Very small town, not much to see or do. Very few places to eat or hang out. The community is very nice and the schools are close to your house. One good thing is that is it only a short drive to Essex, Williston, or Burlington.
Jericho isn't too far away from the big towns and cities around, but it also is in a nice country area. Jericho has lots of old historical areas to visit which are really neat and unique to that town. It has some restaurants and a new market in town which has good choices of local food. Jericho is a very safe town little to no break ins around, and people are very friendly and family oriented. There are lots of events that also go on in the town too. Jericho has a very tight knit community if you need help people will be very willing to help you out.
