Still the small town feel even as the population grows! The school system is one of the best around, as Oklahoma suffers from poor school quality in general Jenks shines bright and is a becon for other public schools. The down town area is fun and inviting with things from antique shopping to axe throwing store. There is a nice range of eateries to choose from. We even boast a large aquirum. The police are effective without being militant, the officers are kind and respectful of the public. I find the fire department to be a little laggimg in their response time, but their new Fire Department has been moved outside of the main area of town.

The suburbs of Jenks is a charming community right outside of Tulsa that is very family friendly and a great place to call home. The public schools are among the best, allowing students to challenge themselves and engage in classes they are interested in. It is a fast growing town with new stores and fast food restaurants popping up quickly. The downtown area is a strip of antique shops with neat treasures and other stores with incredible finds. They even hold a few events in this area from time to time, such as car shows or events affiliated with Jenks High School. However, because it is such a small community, finding a job within this area can be difficult, and the construction being done near the Creek Turnpike has been a hassle the past couple months. What I would recommend in order to make the town even better is to hold more events on Main Street and continue to add stores and restaurants for the civilians.
Jenks is a community just south of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Like most Oklahomans, the Jenks Trojans are passionate about football and have won the state championship several times. I transferred to Jenks from Texas when I was in the 9th grade. I would recommend the town to anyone looking for a smaller community to live in. Tulsa, is a 10 minute trip up the interstate for anything that you might want.
