Jenison has an amazing public school system. There are five elementary schools, a junior high and the high school. Overall, Jenison is a very safe place to live. I have lived there my entire life and there is a sense of a greater community. Whether it be the pink out basketball game for breast cancer or the various fundraisers, this community really pulls together. There are many great things to do in Jenison. Go sledding at Charlies dump, go shopping at our stores and rent movies. The best place to eat is Peppinos bar and grill but I also highly recommend Los Amigos, a mexican resteraunt. There are many churches in Jenison. at one point we held the world record for the number of churches on one street. My only critique of the area is that there is not a lot of diversity. The majority of jenison is white, middle class and christian. However, The pros definitly outweigh the cons by far.
It is quiet and reserved and also has an excellent public school program. Jenison also has a lot of fun local activities such as the wildcat festival where the local community can come out and support others while raising money for different charities. There are also several parks that are great for picnics, a quiet walk along a small lake.
Jenison is a small suburb of Grand Rapids, MI that is a great home for families. It provides many opportunities to mingle with neighbors and the community as a whole. It's also a developing area with many additions coming in the near future. It's a conservative town that has stuck to traditions throughout many years, and is also home to the infamous Baldwin street that houses more churches than any other street in the world.
