I love my hometown of Jefferson City, Missouri. It was named the top prettiest small cities and I would have to agree with that. Everyone in Jefferson City is friendly to each other and if someone needs help with something, there is no hesitation. If I could do it over again, I would in a heartbeat. In the future I see a well populated area. New subdivisions are in the works and schools are starting to become over flowed. The expanding on Helias Catholic will help immensely with helping over populated schools. I see a really bright future for my current hometown.

My neighborhood has always been incredibly friendly. Whenever anyone new moves onto our street, my family and most of our neighbors bring food over and introductions are always quickly made. I have always grown up knowing everyone who lived on my street. Almost everyone who lived on my street when I first moved there with my family still lives there. Only a few families have moved and even then they just relocated somewhere else in Jefferson City and our families still keep in touch. A lot of our neighbors own dogs and they are all very friendly. Every year our street gets together and almost every house participates in a street wide garage sale. It is always a blast and a great time to walk around and visit with neighbors you may not have got to talk to in a while.
In my opinion, cost of housing and utilities is very reasonably priced. It is affordable and quality of housing is amazing. Houses that are vacant usually fill up pretty quickly and it is pretty rare to see any abandoned properties. There really is no "best/worst" areas to reside in Jefferson City. I feel very safe all throughout Jefferson City. There are some very nice houses over off of Truman Blvd. Houses downtown have much smaller land but are still very unique and nicely kept.
