Honestly? This is not a place for everybody. We were so disappointed and one year had been past and NO, is not for us. Do not think because is the biggest city in Florida means you will find better and a lots of parks, parking places or acces to the beaches, places to go, Free programs like concerts - symphonic band- Nope, nada.
Some Country music events, oh yes! With everything that involved .
The Rent is lower so the neighbors - Even if you live Southeast, like us.-
Some people are nice, friendly but the rest? Nope.
I hope the best, specially if your are looking to raise kids here, because elementary are really good but Middle ? Nooooo.
In that case look in St. John.
Review Jacksonville
Moved to the Jacksonville area recently and have been thoroughly impressed with the locals overall friendly dispositions. Everyone I've encountered has been more than helpful. I've made the best of friends and have been blessed enough to have the chance to be welcomed with open arms by extended family members. The water is beautiful, and the towns border the perfect line between being big enough to have new places to explore every weekend, but also retains a small-town feel when you can start to recognize friendly faces in a crowd. Currently 22 years old and attending college while living at home, so hopefully this review is helpful!
I have lived at two very different areas of Jacksonville but have lived here for over 20 years. I went to multiple schools here and can say, I personally received what I believe is a fantastic education. The city of Jacksonville is a friendly town where every day there is always something happening. The Channel 4 News station has the best news cast, Especially Richard Nun the weather man. The diversity of Jacksonville is rather incredible! And there is always an opportunity around the corner for some adventure with conventions and events happening all over the city.
