I luv Jville! (short for Jacksonville, TX) and especially JACKSONVILLE LAKE! I've only been living here for 5 years, But retired at 82, I've been around and Jville is big enuf to serve well (a super WalMart, a CHILI'S Bar/grill (plus a dozen more good restaurants like Jalopena Tree, more than one hardware, plus only 40min to the big city of Tyler in nice climates of East Texas. I AINTaMOVIN' NO MORE! Except to go RESTAURANTING in my Jeep Cherokee towed Casita RV in which I can sleep off my dinner wine at nearest RV Park.

I love it here! I've lived in many places and nothing feels like home quite like Jacksonville. No, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a big city. Yes, there is a train that runs through town regularly. Yes, it's a little dated. But the people are welcoming, they work hard to improve the town, and grow the best tomatoes!
Jacksonville is a very welcoming place with a friendly community. It embodies the best things about a small town and combines them with the benefits of a larger town. With this relatively quiet town, you get a kind and caring community with the benefit of having a diverse selection of grocery stores for all of your shopping needs, and if you can't find it here, larger shopping centers are a short drive away.
