Jackson Township Reviews
All school funding gets funneled to Philadelphia, leaving the local public schools in a state of disrepair; despite this, the school taxes are incredibly high and growing every year. No sidewalks in most areas. The job market is entirely retail-based and hotel/hospitality; any other positions require you to commute to the nearest larger town (typically Allentown).
its small and involved, making the amount of community interaction greater. the heritage festival that usually occurs every year with the help of the local 4-H members and townspeople makes the summer all the more fun when you have nothing to do; but that's also the issue. there isn't very much to do in Jackson Township. most go to the towns and cities around to do any activities.
The area just recently lost the town cops so we now have state cops in the area that just drive around and check up. They respond quickly when they are needed though. I do have concerns about the fact that the town doesn't have it's own police station, that there is no place to physically go in case of emergency but the state police are very responsive and reliable.
