I have lived in a big city my whole life. Moving to Jackson had me a bit skeptical; was i going to like it, was I going to have all the resources of a big city, etc. Well, I have been here 6 month's now and we absolutely love it. They definitely have the access to everything a big city does minus the night life. However, Jackson is between to major cities (Nashville & Memphis) so you can still have that night life, just a distance. Cute little downtown with a few good restaurants, just a laid back quiet atmosphere. I love the cost of living, very reasonable!

Jackson is a great city with many wonderful people. It is my birthplace and I've lived here my entire life. The thing that stands out to me about Jackson is that there is much humanitarian effort for the homeless and impoverished. Many organizations such as RIFA, ARM, and the Community Cafe focus on those who are less fortunate. We have a nice blend of city and rural life and housing is pretty cheap. However, though it is a nice city I feel as though it could be improved as far as public safety. Crime is more prevalent than it should be in Jackson. I feel as though more efforts towards fighting and preventing crime in my city would be very beneficial to the safety of its residents
Jackson is a small city, but it is growing. The parks and farmer's market are becoming awesome, free spaces for family and friends to enjoy. I love living in Jackson, because it is also very safe!
