I grew up in Jacksboro. Like most young people I couldn't wait to leave this little town. Now I can't wait to come home to visit. Community support is outstanding, Friday Night Lights is a must and there are numerous recreational opportunities. Jacksboro is also rich with history of early settlers, a visit to the Fort Richardson State Park is a must for history buffs. There are numerous parades and events though out the year as well. Jacksboro is home.
Small town, great place to raise kids, strong sense of community. Schools are new and teachers are caring and involved. Lots of family friendly activities to participate in.
Jacksboro is the clique small town that could be seen in a movie. Everyone knows you, there are no secrets, and you get so used to eating the same food all the time. As far as having an involved community, Jacksboro could win an award. When there is any kind of event or tragedy being in the small town is the best place to be. The people are so kind and do anything they can for each other. The only thing to change about Jacksboro would be to have more food options and have better roads.
