Working in Inwood
Inwood is a small town. The community is small, but not particularly close. The main road has several fast food options, a grocery store, and multiple dollar stores. There is a great custard stand on the main stretch. Inwood does have a few restaurants worth visiting: Viva Mexico, King's Pizza, and The Dining Room. The community has a parade every year, and the local high school participates. There is a farmer's market, Taylor's, that provides delicious local produce and a variety of local crafts and jams.
Even though it's a small town with limited options to shop or have fun, it is far away yet still fairly close to cities where we can find things to do. The people of Inwood are blessed to not have to deal with the city traffic yet a good 30 minute to an hour drive we can find ourselves close to DC or many other cities. We live close to beautiful Harper's Ferry Historical Park and can go to any neighboring state within 30 minutes.
When I first moved here it was a very nice neighborhood. As the surrounding area has become more industrialized, Inwood has been trying to fix traffic problems but in reality it is just getting worse. Inwood has some cool shops and a fantastic frozen custard stand, but sometimes it is just too difficult to get there. However, the people are nice and most of the neighborhood is very well kept.
