This is a wonderful place to live especially for families with children. As a student, the education is of very high quality and establishing solid foundational knowledge early on is incredibly helpful when it comes time for college. There's also a lot of recreational opportunities offered through the park districts.

Living there over 10 years and there is virtually no violent crime. The only thing would be occasional cases of robberies from car parking lots.
Its Illinois, there isnt much geographically.
