Grew up in this area and I can say it’s gotten so built up and crowded that you can’t move an inch without running into new townhouses or apartments.
If you value good schools, diversity of people and materialistic things this place is for you. If you value community and a small-town feel look elsewhere.

Not much has changed. I can say though, that with the new and upcoming homes that are being built, crime and petty theft has increased. I recently got robbed this year. My purse got stolen from my car.
I am partial to this area because it is my hometown, but I can objectively say that it is a great place to raise a family. I generally feel safe, and the public school system is decent by national standards. It also allows easy access to cities including DC and Annapolis as well as more rural areas and mountains.
