Great place to start a family. The town is growing rapidly and developments are underway in several areas. Many job opportunities for Gov Contractors. Home to the nation's largest independent center for the arts (Lowe Mill), the Space and Rocket Center, and HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology. Outdoor activities, hiking, mountain biking, disc golf, and public green ways are also available around the area. Cost of living is very affordable. Needs more job opportunities outside of DoD and Gov contracts. Retail and infrastructure developments are slow. Entertainment options can get repetitive. Overall a great place to work and live.

It’s a growing city, if you’re someone who isn’t established already and is trying to grow in any field outside of energineering. This is not the place for you! Huntsville is a good retirement area, they’ve started to add new things to the city such as Top golf, a Dave and busters is coming. Not a big nightlife if that’s what you need like myself I came from a much bigger city so it’s a huge adjustment. People are quite friendly, and it is one of the most diverse areas in Alabama.
Huntsville has been an amazing place to live! With tons of helpful people, lots of unique places to eat, and it is well in access with many different places such as Birmingham. The educational programs here are some of the best for engineering with the arsenal near, which provides jobs for many graduating students.
