Working in Huntington
The town is good in terms of diversity of thoughts, people, environment, seasons, schools, businesses, and public space. There are many people from all different kinds of backgrounds that help enhance the living atmosphere. In addition, there are many things to do since there are many parks, beaches, and other public spaces that really make it a good place to live. It is a great representation of the country as a whole.
Huntington is like a patchwork quilt, in my opinion. There are some absolutely beautiful parts of it, like Northport, Cold Spring Harbor, Halesite, and then there are some not so pretty parts of it, namely Huntington Station. The good parts definitely outweigh the not so good parts though. The villages are beautiful, the restaurants are phenomenal, the shopping is fantastic, and the people are great. You're also in the perfect spot to visit out east or Manhattan in not too long of a trip.
It's a great town! Although I'm not in the town often because I study too much, I go a few times and love it! Great restaurants and venues to see a concert or an author. The town is vibrant at night, but not fratty. I highly recommend the Greek restaurant on Main Street, Neraki. Great lemon monkfish! I'm also meaning to try Kai Poke. It looks great!
