I like the fact that it is a small town in the country. There are not a ton of people. The area is beautiful. The closest grocery store is about 35 minutes away. There is a bank and small local shops where you can get necessities. The commute to work depends on where you work. A drive to Northampton could be 30 minutes, yet a drive to Springfield could be an hour. There are not many job opportunities in the town itself with the exception of couple of restaurants, local shops, the bank, and a community health center. There are a ton of places to go hiking, kayaking, and other outdoor activities.

It's a very quaint little town, which can be a good and bad thing. It gives great opportunity for living a quiet life in the country, but there's not much to do and it's far away from everything. I do like the homey atmosphere though.
Huntington is a small town where everyone knows everyone. It is settled amongst the hilltowns in western MA. It is a great place to raise a family.
