Reading some of the more recent reviews, it’s clear that a particular individual with egomaniacal tendencies decided to trash the town on their way out. My family moved to Hopkinton recently and we could not be more pleased with our decision. There are ample gorgeous public areas for hiking and outdoor activities, coupled with socioeconomic diversity we did not find in other Boston suburbs we considered. The racial diversity is increasing and our neighbors and the town in general have been incredibly welcoming. Being one of the safest suburbs in the country with a top shelf school system makes this a great town to raise a family. A town is what you make of it!

Hopkinton, MA is the starting line of the Boston Marathon and boasts the claim "It all starts here!" and it truly does. The public school system of Hopkinton has been nationally recognized several times and for good reason. The streets are safe and downtown is being built up recently.
Hopkinton is a great choice if you are looking for a good education for your kids or just a comfortable town to live in. It has a nice center of town with cute breakfast places, frozen yogurt, and a beautiful town common that holds event from Polyarts to the Farmers Market during the warmer half of the year. There are a lot of sports and recreational opportunities including camps and club teams and with the country club, the state park, and sandy beach there's always something to do in the summer. The town has easy access to Boston and sponsors the excitement of the start of the Boston Marathon every year. Overall, Hopkinton is great safe town to grow up in with lots of opportunities and grows every year with new events, businesses, and people.
