The city of Hoover is a nice place to live and raise a family. It’s a family-oriented place and has very good schools in the area. It’s especially convenient to live because of its location - you are minutes away from the big interstates and highways, and everything is easily accessible. There are endless dining and entertainment options, as well as a huge shopping mall (The Galleria) and many other popular stores. It’s a generally safe place to live and has many beautiful neighborhoods and standalone homes to choose from. There is something for everyone in Hoover.
I like that regardless of your race or background, people in Hoover are generally very accepting and courteous. People treat you nicely upon meeting you.
However, I wish that Hoover had more community events that bring people together. Even with keeping Covid-19 precautions in mind, Hoover can benefit as a community from opening more festivals, fairs, and concert venues throughout the city.

Hoover offers a lot of conveniences within the city limits, though there are some considerable trade-offs. You will be hard-pressed to find spacious living unless you are willing to pay a premium. Alternatively, you will be hard-pressed to find a food desert within Hoover. Most areas are decently innervated with grocery, gas, entertainment, and general shopping conveniences. The community is welcoming and there are frequently community events, concerts, or performances throughout the week to choose from.
