Holtville is a small tranquil town in the state of California founded a little over a century ago by German-Swiss settlers. Location is quite convenient in many ways & it's surrounded by farm country. It's close to mountain's if your into the wildlife, it's close to the ocean relaxing on the beach is your thing. Located close to Mexico, one can get a sense of the Mexican culture. Known for its peacefulness and academics, Holtville's local high school tested greatly in the state's standardization's exams. The city is safe & has fresh air. Holtville has many great annual events such as bbqs, farmer's markets, town-parades etc. The size of the city makes it special. It's never overwhelmed with traffic even though it has some of the greatest food in the Southwestern region! Have you tried the pizza? Everyone enjoys a great bite! If you love the quite life, good people and delicious foods & aren't keen to the loud, fast or dreadful city life, visit Holtville & consider staying awhile.
My time in Holtville was simply amazing! It has a small "Radiator Springs" feel to it. According to its history it was actually a booming tourist town until the interstate was put in and then it simply started to dwindle, just like in the movie "Cars". The people were very pleasant and the best pizza joint in the world is George's Pizza.
One thing that always stands out to everyone that visits Holtville is the community. Holtville is a small town with people with big hearts!
