It's a great environment, but as per usual, theres always some cons that comes with the pros. With that being said, I'll like to mention that Hollywood makes up majority of working class people, meaning everyone is busy and less crime then other cities in south Florida; this also means that crime rates will be going up and it shows. For an example, there's been an increase of robberies in my neighborhood! Good thing that there's also a great amount of cops residing near me though.
I’ve lived here for over twenty years in Hollywood Hills. The neighborhood is quiet and very safe. Both of my children went to schools here and they acquired excellent education. There are major hospitals, parks and airports all within 5-30 minutes. Great places for daytime and night entertainment eg Hard Rock Guitar hotel, downtown Hollywood and Hollywood beach and Broadwalk.
I encourage everyone to visit!

One thing that I love about Hollywood is that it is centrally located to many offerings. Both major highways are accessible within minutes, Hollywood is close to many shopping centers and is home to the famous Yellow Green Farmers Market (which I frequent quite often), and the beach is minutes away. I would love to see greater support for Hollywood area schools. West Hollywood could also use some love and support. Hollywood is becoming a new hotspot for real estate and the cost of living is increasing (much like the whole South Florida market) making it next to near impossible for young families to purchase a home.
