Hollins virgins is a very nice place to live. everything you need from downtown “night life” to the shopping centers is only 10 minute drive away. Several local restaurants in every direction. Is also quiet and somewhat rural. I would highly recommend. The only downfall is not a whole lot of things to do for children. But several big cities are only an hour or two away.
Personally, I love Roanoke. The weather is especially nice in the spring and fall, although winters can be a bit unruly. Over the past few years there has been an increase in commercial growth, with new restaurants and stores being opened. The mall and downtown area are easily accessible, although traffic can be a little hefty around these areas.
This area is a good place to live in because the scenery is quite exquisite and It's even more beautiful in the winter when it snows. In the spring and summer time the grass is always very green. I would choose to live here again but maybe in a one story house instead of the two story I live in now. If I was to compare this neighborhood to the country as a whole I would say it's an upper middle class neighborhood.
