Hillsborough Township has been a great place to grow up. The community is full of families and children of all ages. In my youth, I had many outdoor places to play along with many children my age to enjoy those experiences. I had a blast growing up here! In addition, Hillsborough has some of the best school systems in New Jersey! I would definitely recommend Hillsborough to couples who want to grow their family.
Naturally, any place becomes a home when you have created memories and have lived there for many years. My best friends and I spent a lot of time at local food shops, like Just Subs and Catered Affair, and parks around the town, such as Duke farms and Ann Vann. One qualm about Hillsborough is there is not much to do as a teen in the town. However, they are adding more places for kids to entertain themselves, such as Iron Peak. There are also neighboring towns close by that offer other activities. Hillsborough is great for enjoying the outdoors and time with friends.

As a family with young children, we love Hillsborough. It is safe, the schools are great quality, the parks are beautiful (their favorites are Colonial Park and Castle Park, and don't mind going for a long stroll through Duke Farms). And we also love the library system, which has lots of fun activities for all age groups. The convenient shopping and dining options are also a big plus with a busy family like ours. Great place to raise a family!
My experience in this community been great so far. The complex were I live has a pool, a park and a clubhouse which has a gym in it, I usually take my siblings on a walk around the neighborhood, we meet other nice families outside they porch or they too going for a walk. There are lot of stores close by which makes it easier to run errands. Hillsborough is a safe town for everyone and the people here are welcoming. There is job availabilities at our local stores and fast food restaurants. The school’s are great and most importantly Hillsborough township is kid friendly. I encourage you to come experience this yourself and I promise you won’t regret it.
