Hillsborough is a lovely, yet expensive town. Twin square has a lot of different amenities and local shops that all have amazing people and food!
Hillsborough is a great small town with a historical downtown area filled with small businesses. The school systems are good but teachers are in very high demand right now. There are many job and entertainment opportunities in Hillsborough and in neighboring towns, 3 major universities are within a short drive, including UNC Chapel Hill, NC State, and Duke. The state's capital, Raleigh, is relatively close by, about a 45 minute drive. Hillsborough is at the converging point of 2 major highways: 85 and 40. Hillsborough is rapidly growing, there are tons of new houses being built.
I have lived in Hillsborough almost my whole life and I have to say: I love it here. The local restaurants are all amazing, the people are so nice, and you're almost smack dab in the middle of the Triangle, so you have 3 major cities surrounding you for your enjoyment! There are also a ton of good colleges near Hillsborough, so you'll get a good education within-state tuition if you live here. The only problem I have is that it's either a good place to grow up in or a good place to settle down, but you wouldn't want to stay there forever. That's the only real con, but taht coudl just be me having grown up here.
