I have really enjoyed growing up in Highlands Ranch. It is a very nice neighborhood that is family friendly. I think the houses and business there are quit nice and they have good public or private schools.
This is the greatest town on earth! Everyone makes an effort to be involved in some way in the community, making it enjoyable for everyone.
I grew up here and it is a great place for families and young adults. There are countless things to do and it is perfectly in the center of the state. Thus, there is close proximity to the mountains, Denver, Colorado Springs, and so many hikes and outdoor activities. The community is well developed and I would raise my kids here.
I have loved living and attending school in Highlands Ranch. The town offers many opportunities to explore and spend time outdoors. Most people living within Highlands Ranch are very helpful and kind. The schools and education within the community are prioritized. However, I do think everyone within Highlands Ranch could benefit from more diversity.
I have lived in a few places and Highlands Ranch is high ranking with all of them. It's safe, friendly, and has many amenities that are not available everywhere.
Highlands Ranch is a blend of young families with children, older homeowners, and veterans. There is an athletic, healthy, working weekdays, small gatherings some weekends, walk my dog type feel of a neighborhood.
Pros:
- Close proximity to downtown/metro offerings and the mountains
- High-end shopping and amenities within and close to the community (some budget offerings as well)
- Abundance of parks and recreation options
- Trending liberal in recent years (the majority of precincts in Highlands Ranch went for the Democratic candidate in the 2020 presidential election)
- Public schools are among the best in the nation
- Low violent crime rate
Cons:
- Price to own out of reach for many
- Being an affluent suburb, thefts/robberies are common
- Lack of defined nightlife within community (although only a skip and hop downtown)
- Most community events and organizations are geared towards the 40+ crowd or young children

Highlands Ranch is a very comfortable place to raise a family. It is very well kept suburb of Denver with not much to do, but it is a very safe place to live. Shops and food places are nearby with a fair amount of diversity for different tastes, both fast food and restaurants.
I've lived in Highlands Ranch since i was 10 years old. The people are friendly, and there are lots of walking trails and parks. It's a good place to raise kids and have pets. Overall its been a good experience for me.
Highlands Ranch is a very nice community close to Denver with a lot to do. Only a 2 hour drive from ski resorts and plenty to do in town. Whether it be movie theaters or mini golf there is always something to do. You can find gyms, restaurants, and grocery stores with ease and never have to worry about struggling to find an essential business.
I have been living in Highlands Ranch all my life. It is a cute little suburban town with a very supportive community. Although people say that this little town is conservative, it really isn't. The schooling system is great, the public services offered are just phenomenol.
Highlands Ranch is a really beautiful and safe city to live in! It has great houses offered through the suburb, along with good schools to attend. It looks new and updated, with features such as electricity lines being underground. Overall, it's also a very safe area with an extremely low crime rate, so good for families and individuals alike!
The greatest attributes of this town are the layout, traffic, safety and amenities. Everything I would need is within minutes. The community is vastly families of various cultures.
Highlands Ranch is a quiet, desirable community that excels in safety and family oriented activities and spaces. There isn't much of a night life or career field in the area, unless you plan on striking out on your own business front. But, you trade all of that for an exceptionally safe area where everyone has your back and you can take soul searching walks at two am without anyone bothering you.
Highlands Ranch is an excellent place to rise a family. Stores and schools are easy access. There are many parks and recreational activities available.
Highlands Ranch is a beautiful community, with so many fun activities and parks to visit. There are shopping centers, amazing schools and so much more. The schools stand out the most to me because of there diversity and community outreach. Many of the high schools partner with the Make-A-Wish foundation and has raised hundreds of thousands dollars. Highlands Ranch is a very safe community, and the Police are very active within the schools, and public areas. 10/10
