Highland is where i was born and raised and for the most part just like every other town it has its ups and downs. The town has its positives being that its a small town where everyone knows each other somehow so you almost feel close to the people you don't even know. A downside would be its rising heroin epidemic which needs a solution soon.

Highland is a beautiful little town located about 90 miles north of NYC. This quaint town is the home of the Walkway over the Hudson; a pedestrian bridge over the historic Hudson River. The Walkway is a great and inexpensive way to enjoy the breathtaking views it has to offer.
A small charming town. Although there is not much to do in highland itself, it's only a ten minute drive to Poughkeepsie or new paltz. The rail trail and the walk way are easily accessible. The hiking locations near us are beautiful and there are an abundance of apple farms. It's a super small safe town with convenience.
