I grew up here and it’s really safe!! I’ve never felt unsafe in my neighborhood, the only thing is personally for my neighborhood, there was only one kid in my whole neighborhood. Everyone else was 40+ but most were 60+. However nowadays I see more teenagers and kids walking around whether its to the beach, or to the pool. I think more people 13-30 are starting to live in Highland Beach. At least in my neighborhood. This is really good because it leaves more opportunities for neighborhood friends. For the diversity, I will say that I only really see white people and maybe a couple hispanic or asian people now and then
So this place is really quiet and full of retired people. You need to know this before you go there as a family but you can drive to Boca or Delray to meet people or get services.
Quiet little beach town with minimal traffic. Easy access to beaches and canals without fixed bridges to get to the intracoastal waterway or ocean access. A nice quiet place to live.
