Hicksville is a diverse town on Long Island, NY. Compared to other towns, it is quite diverse, but that doesn't mean that racism isn't prevalent here. Half of the town is white, and the other half is made up of many different races. They are working on improving this town, which is great.
Growing up here, one of the best things about this part of Long Island was the diversity. Going to school in Hicksville was a great experience because everyone was accepting of everyones' cultures. Another great aspect is all the different types of cuisine that is readily available. Hicksville is in a prime location it gives easy access to shopping centers and public transportation.
