The town is wonderful. There are a lot of great opportunities and shops to stop by. One issue Is diversity, there seems to be lack of tolerance and respect in the town which is why diversity is low. Although this is an issue they should work on in this area, there is a great prospect of life here.
What I liked most about Hewlett would have to be the environment and atmosphere of the town. Coming into this town, you see there are a multitude of houses in close proximity to one another. Additionally, the town has a nice surplus of vegetation across every home, so it does not feel like a city-town. Also, there are many small family-friendly places to eat at throughout the day as well as various types of cool people to talk too. On top of that, the town has a bowling alley and a public school that hosts events for people in town to come and check. Throughout the entire day, you are guaranteed to see people active, so it doesn't feel like a ghost town at all. Moreover, the town is welcoming enough for new people to visit and has cool spots to check out from time to time.
I attended the local high school and was surprised by the high quality classrooms and funding the high school had. I really enjoyed my education at George w Hewlett high school, especially the computer programming class taught by Rose Panarelli.
