I've lived in Herriman my entire life, and I love it! Recently there has been more beautiful recreational trails being built! There are now miles of mountain biking, hiking, and trail running trails all around the hills in Herriman. And, Herriman is close to many mountains and beautiful sights! It is getting a little crowded with the houses developing, but it is still easy to find a house up against a good hill where you can see the city lights. Its a beautiful family friendly area.

Very slow laid back culture, lots of growth and development though. Lots of fast food options nearby. Good services such as banks and auto shops. Many parks and fields for children. Herriman is very populated. Most kids go to Herriman high, a 6A school way over capacity. There is also Providence Hall High School. This school is a charter school and more personal, it is safe and very focused on learning. They are also building a new high school in Herriman. A public school to alleviate a lot of the stress at Herriman High. Herriman has few options when it comes to entertainment and nightlife. Mostly due to its suburb culture. There is a new shopping center that was built. There is a ice skating rink, but, not much else.
I've lived in Herriman now for more than ten years, and I can say I've thoroughly enjoyed it. The quality of life is amazing and the neighborhood is very family friendly. For the longest time Herriman has been a small town in the corner of the Salt lake Valley. Many residents were either farmers or miners who worked on the copper mine nearby. But, within the last 10 years Herriman has seen an extraordinary growth in residential and commercial projects. It's been said that Herriman is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. There's plenty of places to eat out, there are parks around every corner, and since the city is nestled right up against the Oquirrh Mountains there's a variety of activities to do outdoors. My only complaint would have to be that the city is growing too fast. Even though there's a lot of people, it's still a calm and a nice clean neighborhood. Any family would love to live here!
