Hernando is a small, quiet town that is perfect for raising a family! I have lived here for 13 years now and I wouldn't trade my son's upbringing for anything. There is nothing fun, no bells or whistles, just a small town.
There is not much infrastructure. Everything is very rural, but we are blessed with beautiful springs and rivers. There are lots of natural destinations like the springs and the Crystal River, and Citrus County is home to manatees.
Great place to raise a family. Small Town feel and you can hear the air boats and cows in the background. Love this town.
